Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Academica, an AI-enabled learning-management platform operated by Academica.

By creating an account, accessing the platform, purchasing a plan, or using an Academica service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you use Academica on behalf of a school, coaching institute, business, or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

Academica may provide learning-management tools, courses, question banks, examination creation, online and offline assessments, OMR processing, assignments, submissions, performance analytics, AI-assisted tutoring, question generation, doubt solving, evaluation, and related educational services.

Features, availability, limits, and usage quotas may differ according to account role, subscription plan, institute configuration, and technical availability.

You must be legally capable of accepting these Terms or use the service with the permission and supervision of a parent, lawful guardian, teacher, or authorised educational institution.

Parents, guardians, and institutes authorising use by a minor are responsible for supervising that use and obtaining any permissions or consents required by applicable law.

• You must provide accurate and current account information.
• You must not impersonate another person or create an account without authority.
• You are responsible for activity performed through your account and devices.
• You must promptly notify us of suspected unauthorised access.
• You must not share access in a way that defeats plan, seat, security, or account restrictions.

Academica may suspend access where account security is at risk or verification is reasonably required.

Institutes and teachers are responsible for content, accounts, courses, assessments, instructions, and records they create, upload, assign, or manage through Academica.

They must ensure that they have appropriate authority to process student information, upload educational content, and provide platform access to users under their administration.

Academica is a technology platform and does not independently verify every question, answer key, score, educational claim, or decision made by an institute or teacher.

You must not use Academica to:

• Break applicable law or violate another person's rights.
• Upload or distribute material you do not have permission to use.
• Harass, threaten, exploit, or harm another user, including a minor.
• Distribute malware, harmful code, or unauthorised automated requests.
• Bypass authentication, security controls, plan entitlements, usage quotas, or billing requirements.
• Probe, scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service, except where expressly permitted by law.
• Commit cheating, impersonation, fraud, or academic misconduct.
• Generate or distribute unlawful, abusive, or dangerously misleading content.

You retain any ownership rights you hold in content uploaded or created through Academica.

You grant Academica a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display, transform, and process that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content and permit this processing.

AI-generated questions, answers, explanations, evaluations, scores, recommendations, and other automated outputs may contain mistakes, omissions, bias, or unsuitable material.

AI outputs are provided as assistance and should not replace appropriate review by a qualified teacher, institute, or responsible decision-maker.

Users are responsible for checking important outputs before using them for examinations, grading, admissions, academic decisions, or other consequential purposes.

Paid features may be governed by subscription duration, trial conditions, seat limits, storage limits, AI credits, transaction quotas, feature entitlements, or other plan conditions shown before purchase or stated in a written agreement.

Usage credits may be consumed when an eligible operation begins or completes, depending on the feature. Unless expressly stated otherwise, credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred between unrelated accounts.

Academica may restrict a feature when a subscription is inactive, a trial has ended, payment is overdue, or the applicable limit has been reached.

Prices, taxes, plan duration, renewal terms, included features, and usage limits will be displayed before purchase or stated in the relevant commercial agreement.

Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider and may also be subject to that provider's terms.

Cancellation and refund eligibility, where applicable, will be governed by the terms shown at purchase, any relevant written agreement, and applicable law. Report a billing error or duplicate transaction promptly to getacademica@gmail.com.

Academica may rely on third-party authentication, hosting, database, storage, payment, communication, analytics, and artificial-intelligence services.

Use of a third-party service may also be governed by that provider's terms and privacy practices. Academica is not responsible for an external service outside our reasonable control.

Academica's software, interface, platform design, branding, documentation, and original materials are owned by or licensed to Academica and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of the Academica platform or permit you to copy, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit it except through an authorised subscription or written agreement.

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee that every feature will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available on every device.

We may maintain, update, replace, restrict, or discontinue a feature where reasonably necessary for security, compliance, technical, commercial, or operational reasons.

We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe:

• These Terms have been materially violated.
• Payment obligations remain unmet.
• The account presents a security, fraud, or legal risk.
• Use of the service may harm Academica, another user, or a third party.
• Suspension or termination is required by law.

Users may stop using the service at any time. Termination does not automatically create a right to a refund.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Academica is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee examination results, academic improvement, admission, employment, regulatory acceptance, or any particular educational outcome.

Institutes, teachers, students, and guardians remain responsible for educational decisions and for independently verifying important information.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Academica will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential loss arising from use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Subject to mandatory consumer and statutory rights, courts located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the service.

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the service, business practices, or applicable requirements. The revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated date.
